WATCH: David Warner's 'Grudge Knock' Of 92* Against Former Franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad

DC vs SRH IPL 2022: After a time of 8 years, David Warner was playing against the Orange Army in the IPL. The former IPL-winning captain of SRH, Warner faced off against them with style as he played a boosting knock to help Delhi Capitals to a huge total. 

Opening the innings for DC, David Warner played a knock of 92 runs in 58 balls with 12 fours & 3 sixes and went back after being unbeaten for 20 overs. Warner maintained a strike rate of 158.62 in his inning and played a gorgeous 'grudge knock' against his former franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad. 

David Warner is the only batter to win the orange cap thrice, all of them while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad. In 2016, David Warner led the SRH to a victory in the IPL final. However, after a few bad games in IPL 2021, the Australian was first stripped of the captaincy and then was benched. Later on, SRH released Warner prior to the IPL 2022 mega auction. Warner was bought by his old franchise, Delhi, for a price of 6.25 crores INR.

While talking about the match, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson won the toss & opted to bowl first against Delhi Capitals in the 50th match of IPL 2022. With the help of Warner's knock & Rovman Powell's explosive 35-ball-67 helped DC to a total of 207/3 in 20 overs. For SRH, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sean Abbott & Shreyas Gopal managed 1 wicket each. This match is being played at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
