WATCH: Chameera Rattles Vijay Shankar With A Perfect Yorker

Yorker is one of the most productive deliveries in cricket and when it comes to T20 cricket, it is the make-or-break ball for the bowler. If perfected, no batter can score runs off it and if it gets slightly misplaced, the batter will smack the ball. 

Although mostly the yorker is bowled at the backend of the innings when batters are looking to slog every ball, now bowlers have begun utilizing this productive delivery with the new ball as well. 

Dushmantha Chameera is one of the best upcoming fast bowlers from Sri Lanka. He swings the ball at a high pace and mixes his lengths to not let the batters settle. Chameera has worked upon his yorker lately and it seems that he has perfected it with the new ball as well. 

During the 4th match of IPL 2022 between IPL debutants Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants, Chameera showcased his skills with the new ball. 

LSG's Chameera got Shubman Gill out in the first over of the run chase that brought Vijay Shankar to the crease. The Sri Lankan welcomed Shankar with three short deliveries which the all-rounder safely negated. 

However, in the next over, the first ball Chameera bowled to Shankar was a perfect swinging yorker that rattled the batter. The ball moved away slightly in the air and Shankar played for the original line.

However, the late movement caused Shankar to get off balance and the ball crashed into the stumps as Chameera celebrated his second wicket in his outstanding IPL debut.
