39-year-old English pacer, James Anderson, has continued ageing like fine wine and continued his knack of picking up wickets in the second test against New Zealand. After the pair of Mitchell & Blundell frustrated the English, debutant Michael Bracewell continued the torture with Mitchell. However, James Anderson got the better of the batters in a style well suited to the longest format.

After a 236-run partnership between Daryl Mitchell & Tom Blundell, Michael Bracewell came out to bat for the first time in his international career. The 31-year-old showed good intent as he etched a partnership of 91 runs with centurion Mitchell.

English pacer James Anderson decided to build the pressure on the youngster as he was on 49, just 1 run away from a fifty on his test debut. Anderson bowled 10 consecutive dot balls to Michael Bracewell between the 130th and 136th over.

On the 5th delivery of the 136th over, James Anderson bowled a full delivery outside off from around the wicket, slating in and swinging away. Bracewell looked to defend the ball but instead nicked it straight to Joe Root to the first slip, and Root handed on to it in front of his right knee.
