WATCH: Jonny Bairstow's Two One-Handed Stunners At Slips
The summer in England has begun and in what style. In the first five overs of the morning of the 1st test match between England and New Zealand, Jonny Bairstow plucked two catches in slips out of nowhere.
James Anderson, who is returning to the test team after being dropped in the last series along with Stuart Broad, made a statement in his second over of the morning as he got Kiwi opener WiIll Young out for just one run.
Anderson was helped by Bairstow's brilliant reflexes at the third slip. Young edged the ball towards the slip region but it wasn't a comfortable height to catch. Bairstow had to stay low and grab the ball at the perfect time and he did it just fine.
It wasn't all, Anderson found an edge from Tom Latham's bat as well in the next over. This time the height of the ball was quite high and the ball went fast towards Bairstow, who couldn't grab it on the first attempt but managed to keep his eyes on the ball and took it on the second attempt where he had to dive in front and catch it with one hand.

A perfect start meant a lot to the England test team which has seen some several changes in the setup with Ben Stokes as the new captain and Brendon McCullum as the new head coach. The Stokes-McCullum duo has brought back James Anderson and Stuart Broad in the test squad after they got dropped due to poor returns in the last season.
