WATCH: Kieron Pollard Hits Umpire With The Ball While Bowling

Kieron Pollard is a character on the field. The star West Indian player's on-field antics are famous for quite a few years now. Pollard keeps doing things that constantly entertain the crowd, be it his extraordinary fielding, his fielding displays, or even altercations with the umpire. Even after being such a veteran of the game, Pollard hasn't changed even a bit. 

During today's match between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders, Pollard yet again made the spectators buzz with his act which involved the umpire this time. 

Nitish Rana was trying to scoop Kieron Pollard and the West Indian legend saw it and tried to pull out of his action at the last moment. While doing so, the ball slipped from Pollard's hands and went backward where umpire Chris Gaffney was standing. The ball hit the Gaffeney just under the ribs. 

Pollard, at first, didn't know the ball went and as soon as he realised the ball hit the umpire, he immediately apologised with a smile. Even the umpire was smiling and Rohit Sharma too had a laugh watching the sequence of events.

The battle of scoops between Nitish Rana and Kieron Pollard continued as the batter again tried to confuse the bowler with his change of stance. On another occasion, Pollard pulled out of his action but this time didn't let the ball slip.
