Liam Livingstone is an elite T20 player. Livingstone's gameplay is based around hitting boundaries, preferably six. He likes sending balls into the stands and sometimes even out of the stadium when he is in the mood.

Because of this very reason, Livingstone has been getting picked in the IPL for the past few seasons. However, with more attack comes more risk and Livingstone hasn't been able to consistently display why he's an elite T20 player.

On Sunday, against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Livingstone finally showed why he's rated so high in the T20 circuit.

Generally, when the teams lose two early wickets, the incoming batter decided to calm the situation down and doesn't take many risks for the next few overs. But, as we already know, Livingstone prefers offensive over defensive and he did that.

Despite Punjab being 14/2 in 1.2 overs, Livingstone decided to take on the bowlers. In the 5th over of the match, CSK gave young Mukesh Choudhary his third over. Livingstone's eyes lit up seeing an experienced pace bowler coming in to bowl his third over inside the powerplay.

Livingstone smashed a 108-metre six on the very first delivery - the biggest six of IPL 2022. The next ball was a dot but on the third ball, the Englishman came down the track to smack a four over mid-on. The next two balls were as Mukesh decided to bowl wider lines.

The next two boundaries were hit for two more fours - one over deep cover and the other between short third and keeper. On the last ball, Livingstone smacked another six, making it 26 runs off the fifth over.
