WATCH: Marcus Stoinis Smacks A Six Straighter Than An Arrow

AUS vs SL: The first T20I of the 5-match series between Australia and Sri Lanka has commenced. In the first match being played at Sydney, Australia posted 149/9 and set a target of 150 in front of the Lankans to start the series with a win against the current World T20 champions. 

For the Australian team, however, only Ben McDermott and Marcus Stoinis were the only batters who seemed to score runs. McDermott scored an anchoring 41-ball-53 while opening and Marcus Stoinis smacked an entertaining knock of 30 runs. Stoinis smacked 2 sixes in this inning, one of them going for 100 metres. 

This six was smacked by Stoinis against Dushmantha Chameera in the 17th over, which went straight as an arrow. Cricket Australia has shared a video of the same on their Twitter handle and the video is being liked and shared by many cricket fans.

While talking about the match, Australia were restricted to 149/9 in the first innings. Sri Lankan Wanindu Hasaranga was the hero for Sri Lanka once again as he picked up 3 important wickets - captain Aaron Finch, Glenn Maxwell and Steven Smith, giving away just 38 runs in his quota of 4 overs.
