WATCH: Mohammad Rizwan Grabs A Stunning Catch While Playing Sussex vs New Zealand Warmup Match
Mohammad Rizwan is having a great time in England. The star Pakistani wicket-keeper batter made his county debut this season for Sussex. Rizwan has had a memorable time playing for Sussex scoring 136 runs in five innings he batted including his highest score of 79 which he scored along with his teammate Cheteshwar Pujara as the duo stitched a 150 plus run stand.
Apart from batting, Rizwan has been often seen despite being a wicketkeeper and on one occasion, he also rolled his arm over to bowl some medium pace.
During this time, New Zealand's test squad has arrived in England for a two-match test series. They have scheduled to play two warmup matches before the series and the first match is against Sussex, which began on 21st May after day 1 got washed out.
Rizwan wasn't originally available for this game and Oli Carter was picked as the wicketkeeper. However, the star Pakistani international came into the field as a substitute while New Zealand batted.
The Kiwi batters were going well having only lost just one wicket in the first 53 overs of the innings. Both openers - Tom Latham and Will Young - scored fifties before retiring out and number three batter Hamish Rutherford was also going strong during his 31-run knock that came in just 52 balls.
In the 54th over, Rutherford came down the track to launch spinner Delray Rawlins for a six over long-on. The ball went into the air and Rizwan, standing at mid-on, had to run back to follow the ball.
