PBKS vs GT IPL 2022: Rahul Tewatia pulled off an absolute blinder as he took Gujarat Titans to a 6-wicket win against Punjab Kings in an edge of the seat thriller. The all-rounder smacked 2 sixes in the last over wherein he came to bat and smacked 2 biggies off the last two deliveries to take his side to a win.

Chasing a target of 190 runs, GT were at 171/3 at the end of the 19th over with Hardik Pandya on the crease along with David Miller. Pandya had already smacked 5 fours till then and it looked like a down the wire finish. However, Pandya was run out on the 1st delivery and Rahul Tewatia came out to bat.

Miller smacked the third delivery and along with a wide and 2 single, equation came down to 12 runs off the 2 balls with Tewatia on strike. PBKS bowler, Odean Smith, asserted that from hereon his only responsibility was to not give away the extras. However, Tewatia had other plans.

On the penultimate delivery of the ultimate over, Rahul Tewatia connected with the delivery by Odean which was in his slot and swung it for a six over deep mid-wicket.

With six runs required off the last ball, Odean Smith yet again went for a wide yorker which was pushed for a single on the first delivery where Tewatia took a single. However, the batter read the line & length early and shuffled across the stumps casually, crouched and hacked it over cow corner for a six, reminding the audience of his similar performance at Sharjah in IPL 2021 where he won the match for Rajasthan Royals.
