WATCH: Pant-KL Rahul At The Same End But Still Survive Run Out
Every now and then, athletes make mistakes that turn out to be a hilarious comedy of errors in the eyes of the viewers. A brain fade moment could be a serious game-changing moment for a team but fans love these entertaining bits during an intense game.
Most of the bizarre moments happen when there is a communication gap between the two players, especially when there is a runout.
During India vs South Africa 2nd ODI, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul had a bizarre moment between them where they both ended up on the same end of the crease but still survived getting run out.
The incident happened on the last ball of the 15th over when Pant pushed the ball to the shot mid-wicket region where Temba Bavuma grabbed the ball with brilliant quick fielding. His pick-up and throw was so fast that Pant and KL Rahul didn't have time to react.
Both of them were in the middle of the pitch looking for a run but Pant stopped after watching Bavuma picking the ball but Rahul continued to run. Both batters ended up being at the strikers' end.
However, bowler Keshav Maharaj couldn't grab the throw from Bavuma and missed the ball. And not only Maharaj missed it, but the fielder backing up also missed the ball.

KL Rahul, who had lost all hope at one point, grabbed his chance and ran back to the non-strikers' end. As soon as the Indian captain safely reached the other end, he gave a stare back to Rishabh Pant.
