A Two & A Half Ball Drama: Livingstone Wins The Battle Against Pant, WATCH
We all love drama right? T20 is a perfect format to witness some great battles, mini-battles, and drama in the game as the players try to keep themselves ahead of their opposition on every single delivery. Apart from the skill game, mind games also take place in a few battles.
Rishabh Pant is an entertaining cricketer. He is a character that keeps everyone on their toes from the moment he enters the field; be it fielding or batting. Pant is a prototype T20 batter in the sense that he doesn't take a few balls to settle in; if it's there to hit, his big swing of the bat comes naturally.
During the Delhi Capitals vs Punjab Kings match, Pant came in to bat in the 12th over of the inning and faced his first ball that went for a single. In the same over of Liam Livingstone, Pant - facing his second ball of the inning - came down the track and unleashed a massive one-hand six over long-on.
Livingstone just kept looking at Pant and smiled in rather disbelief that how did he manage to hit a massive six without being in much control of the game. Pant had decided that he will once again take on Livingstone, who was bowling off-spin.
Livingstone pulled up on his action at the very last moment on the next ball. Pant had pressed forward indicating he would once again look to come down the track and attack Livingstone.
The English all-rounder once again gave a bit of a loop to the ball but dropped a bit short as Pant, as expected, came down the track. This time, the DC batter got beaten by the pace and was stumped.

Despite being hit for a six, Livingstone had the last laugh as he perfectly read what his opponent will do next. Pant was out after scoring seven runs in three balls as Livingstone won the mini-battle.
