Rishabh Pant is the prototype of a whole new generation of T20 batters. In a world full of classic batters trying to hit textbook shots, Pant's trademark hit is a one-handed shot. He can launch it anywhere he wants and on most occasions, will get the desired result.

On most occasions, his one-handed shots are straight or towards mid-wicket for a six. However, a new variant of his one-handed shots was just released today, during Delhi Capitals vs Kolkata Knight Riders match.

Pant came to the crease in the 9th over and took no time to begin smashing the KKR bowlers who just had a bit of relief after getting Prithvi Shaw out.

Just two overs into the crease and having played just six deliveries, Pant attacked Varun Chakaravarthy for a six on the first ball of the over. It was a slog sweep that went into the crowd.

On the next ball, Pant reverse swept Varun for a boundary. But it wasn't just your regular shot over the short third. Pant, as he often does, lost the grip of the bat and at the point of contact had only one hand on the bat handle.

The bat flew in the process but the timing was so perfect that the ball went over the fielder and to the boundary for a four. It could have been a close call since the bat was very close to the stumps when it flew from Pant's hands.  But nevertheless, it was an incredible shot displaying Pant's power and balance especially after just coming to the crease.
