One thing that an out-of-form batter badly needs is a bit of luck. This might come as an edge or dropped catch or anything that doesn't get him/her out. Rohit Sharma hasn't been scoring runs in IPL 2022 and neither has his team done well this season. What Rohit needs a bit of luck going his way but it seems like that isn't happening as well.

In the match against Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians required 166 to win the match. Rohit needed to provide a good start to his time but he was adjudged out in the first over itself. Tim Southee bowled a length ball which Rohit tried to play cross-batted. He was beaten by pace and the ball went straight to wicketkeeper Sheldon Jackson, who dived to take the catch and immediately started to celebrate. However, the umpire wasn't interested and gave it not out.

KKR immediately reviewed the decision. On replays, it was noted that there, indeed, was a spike the ball was close to the bat. It was a healthy-looking spike but interestingly, it looked like the deviations were already there even before the ball wasn't close to the bat. The third umpire was happy to find enough evidence to overturn the decision and adjudge Rohit Sharma out.

The MI captain wasn't happy with the decision as looked at the screen in disbelief and walked towards the pavilion fuming because of the decision.
