Mumbai Indians are out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 and you know the famous Tyler Durden line - “It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything.” Rohit Sharma came into the game against Gujarat Titans with a similar attitude and asked his team "not to take too much pressure, just enjoy."

Rohit Sharma before this game had scored 155 runs in nine innings at an average of 17.22 and a strike rate of 123. It was fare to say that the Indian captain was struggling for runs. But it was time to have fun and Rohit Sharma did that exactly.

After seeing off the first over, Rohit welcomed Alzarri Joseph with a classic drive that went over extra-cover for a four and finished the over with a pickup shot for a six over mid-wicket. Against Mohammad Shami, Rohit went on his knees and lapped it for a six over fine leg.

Alzarri once again came under Rohit's radar and got hit four two more fours. Even Lockie Ferguson couldn't stop Rohit as the MI captain slapped another boundary towards the mid-wicket region.

It was clear that Rohit was enjoying his inning and the way his shots were coming off. The confidence level was high and it didn't matter to him who the bowler was. Rohit attempted to reverse sweep Rashid Khan.

It was a straighter one that beat Rohit's bat and struck in the leg. Umpire, at first, gave it not out as the glove and pads were too close to each other. But Rashid was confident and Hardik Pandya obliged his star bowler's wish to take the DRS. On replays, it was found that the ball directly struck the leg and Rohit had to depart.

Rohit Sharma scored 43 off 28 balls with the help of five fours and two sixes at a strike rate of over 153. He added 74 runs with Ishan Kishan for the first wicket in just 7.3 overs. Due to Rohit's inning, Mumbai Indians' score read 63/0 after six overs.
