Watch: Debutant Scott Boland Strikes Twice In An Over, MCG Crowd Goes Wild
Making a debut, especially a test debut, at the home ground is a different feeling altogether - ask Scott Boland. On both days of the third test, the MCG crowd has cheered for everything Boland has done, be it picking wickets or scoring his maiden test runs.
In the third session of day 2, Australia were on fire as they had once again breached England's top-order, courtesy of Mitchell Starc's two wickets in two balls.
England were playing for survival in the last half hour and Australia weren't giving them anything. Australia captain Pat Cummins, after bowling a ten-over spell with Starc, gave the ball to the home-boy Boland.
Boland immediately responded as he removed Haseeb Hameed on the third ball of his spell. With not many overs left, England sent in their most trusted nightwatchman - Jack Leach.
On the first ball, Boland almost got Leach when the ball just bounced over the stumps. However, on the next ball, Leach decided to leave Boland's angled-in delivery that knocked over his stumps.
