WATCH: Shaheen Afridi's Sensational Opening Burst Gets Warner, Labuschagne In One Over
Shaheen Shah Afridi is one of the finest young fast bowlers currently in world cricket. Ever since the left-arm pacer has made his debut, he has only made things difficult for the top-order batters. Be it any format, Shaheen Afridi's opening spells are tough to face.
Australia vs Pakistan test series didn't give much to the bowlers in the first two matches. However, the beginning of the third test match once again saw Shaheen Afridi opening up his arms to bowl his opening spell.
Afridi troubled David Warner in the first over of the match only, with a short ball. However, in the second over, Warner couldn't even move his feet as Afridi's nip-backer stuck his pads and the umpire had no issues but to raise his finger.
At number three, the world's number one test batter Marnus Labuschagne came to the three and he was welcomed with a high-paced delivery which he easily defended. However, on the next ball, Afridi baited Labuschagne for a drive and the Australian got ready.
But Afridi was too quick that Labuschagne edged the ball straight to the wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan. It was yet another duck for the top batter in the world in this series.
His wicket also brought in Steve Smith and he too had to face Afridi in full rhythm. On the first ball only, Afridi's pace troubled Smith as well. The angle and swing made the ball move and struck Smith's pad and a huge appeal followed. The umpire wasn't much interested and gave it not out.
