Asia Cup 2022: After team India were moving in the 1st gear against Hong Kong for the first 13 overs, Suryakumar Yadav came out all guns blazing in the 14th over, finishing with an unbeaten 68 runs off just 26 balls. To end on an even higher note, Surya plundered 4 sixes off the last over of the innings to take the Indian total to an above-par number.

Team India were at 94/2 in 13 overs when Suryakumar Yadav came on to bat at number 4. When Suryakumar came out, Virat Kohli was already on 33*. However, SKY took on from there as he smacked the hapless Hong Kong bowlers all around, rushing the run rate up drastically.

Suryakumar smacked 6 fours & 6 sixes in his innings, with a tremendous strike rate of 261.54. Haroon Arshad, who had conceded 27 runs in 2 overs, was given the responsibility to bowl the last over against on-fire Suryakumar Yadav.

The Indian batter started the over with a six. Haroon bowled a loopy full toss outside off, which was swung over sweeper cover for a maximum. On the next delivery, Haroon went full and very wide outside off. Suryakumar reached for it still and lifted his big drive over deep extra for another six.

On the third delivery, Haroon went straighter with his line, and SKY obliged by swinging straight down the ground for a six as the ball landed on the sightscreens. The next delivery was a dot, and on the fifth delivery, which was back of a length on the body, Suryakumar stayed still and scoop-pulled it over fine leg boundary for the fourth six of the over.
