WATCH: Suyash Prabhudessai Dismisses Moeen Ali With Brilliant Fielding On Debut
CSK vs RCB IPL 2022: Due to a couple of reasons - Harshal Patel's unavailability and Hosh Hazlewood's availability, 24-year old batter from Goa, Suyash Prabhudessai got to play his debut match for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2022. The youngster has shown some flickers of what possible brilliant skills he possesses, in just the 7th over of the innings.
Moeen Ali, who has been a revelation for CSK at #3, came out to bat after Ruturaj Gaikwad (17) was dismissed in the 4th over. Ali started off cautiously as he faced 7 balls without a boundary. In the 7th over, the first over after the powerplay, Moeen Ali moved back in the crease and cut it to a backward point.
Moeen Ali ran down the track in an effort to steal a single, and halfway down the pitch, he was sent back by Robin Uthappa. The RCB debutant dived to his right and instantly collected as well as sent the ball back to the striker's end.
Wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik didn't make any mistake as he collected the ball and dislodged the bails with Moeen well out of his crease.
While talking about the match, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis won the toss & opted to bowl first against Chennai Super Kings in the 22nd match of IPL 2022. Ruturaj Gaikwad continued his bad run and scored 17, which is his highest score in this season now before he was dismissed in the 4th over by another RCB Debutant, Josh Hazlewood.
