WATCH: Umesh Yadav's First Wicket For Middlesex; Sending The Stumps Flying
Indian bowling has been so much of a force to reckon with that bowling stalwarts like Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav have been excluded from the test side for most of the time. However, this doesn't mean the bowlers aren't lethal. Umesh Yadav, who was brought in by Middlesex as Shaheen Afridi's replacement, sent the bowl flying in his debut match.
In the ongoing County Championship div. 2 match between Middlesex and Worcestershire, Umesh Yadav made his debut. After Middlesex captain Sam Robson opted to bat first, Middlesex were bowled out for 188 in the first innings with Joe Leach picking up 3 wickets.
In reply, Worcestershire also faced batting woes as they lost 3 wickets for 43 runs. It was then on the #3 Worecesterhsire batter, Taylor Cornall and captain Brett DOliveira to stabilize the innings.
Umesh Yadav was bowling the 20th over of the Worcestershire innings. On the last delivery, Umesh bowled a good length delivery on the leg stump line, swinging out for the left-handed Taylor Connel. The ball went through the gap between the batter's bat and pads, sending the off-stump flying. Cornall after scoring 11 runs in 40 balls with a four.
