WATCH: Virat Kohli Utters A 'Dejected Smile' After Being Clean Bowled
In the ongoing test match between India vs New Zealand, India has maintained a strong position in the match as they declared their second innings on 276/7, setting a resolute target of 540 in front of the Kiwis. Indian captain Virat Kohli although missed out on a big score, but impressed the fans while his stay at the crease.
Before getting dismissed, Virat Kohli scored 36 runs with 1 boundary & 1 six. However, the manner in which he was dismissed would leave the skipper with regret. Kohli was looking in fine touch before he played on a delivery by Rachin Ravindra onto his stumps, and was out bowled.
Virat's reaction after getting out is currently circulating amongst the netizens. The Indian captain displayed a rather 'dejected' smile and stood on the crease for some time soaking in the disappointment. In the first innings, he was gone for a duck on a 'debatable' call by the umpire.
Earlier, Indian captain Virat Kohli won the toss & opted to bat first against New Zealand in the 2nd test. This match is being played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. India posted 325/10 in the first innings courtesy of Mayank Agarwal's 150. NZ spinner Ajaz Patel picked up all 10 wickets in the first innings. The Kiwis were bundled for 62 runs in their first innings. India decided not to enforce the follow on.
