What Is IPL 2022 Prize Money?: Top Four Teams, Orange Cap Holder, & Purple Cap Holder
The 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is finally coming to an end as the tournament has reached its D-Day where Gujarat Titans will take on Rajasthan Royals at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad in IPL Final 2022.
It was quite a new season which saw the introduction of two new teams - Gujarat and Lucknow Super Giants. Interestingly both the teams finished in the top four of the points table; while the Titans topped the table, the Super Giants were in 3rd place.
IPL 2022 Prize Money
Just like in IPL 2021, the winner of this season will be awarded 20 Cr INR as the prize money. Things have come quite far when the IPL first began as the winner of IPL 2008 was awarded prize money of just 4.8 Cr INR.
The runners-up of IPL 2022 will have prize money of 13 Cr INR; it has increased from the last time when 12.5 Cr INR were awarded to the team coming second in IPL 2021. The team finishing third will be awarded 7 Cr INR while the fourth-placed team will be given 6.5 Cr INR. That means, Royal Challengers Bangalore - who lost in the Qualifier 2 - will be awarded prize money of 7 Cr INR while Lucknow Super Giants - lost in the Eliminator - will be given a prize of 6.5 Cr INR.

The individual awards of the IPL 2022 like Emerging Player of the season will get 20 Lakhs INR, Orange Cap Holder (most runs), and Purple Cap Holder (most wickets) will be awarded prize money of 15 Lakhs INR each.
