Why Isn't New Zealand Participating In The U-19 World Cup 2022?
New Zealand has withdrawn from men's U-19 World Cup 2022, due to 'extensive mandatory quarantine restrictions for minors on their return home'. Scotland missed the qualification in the Europe qualifier, and have now qualified as the 16th team due to New Zealand's absence.
The U-19 World Cup 2022 will be held in the West Indies between January 14 and February 5. The 14th edition of the U19 World Cup will feature 16 teams in 4 groups, who will battle it out for the title across 10 venues in Antigua and Barbuda, Guyana, St Kitts and Nevis, and Trinidad and Tobago.
The tournament will have 16 warm-up games which will be played between January 9 and 12 in St Kitts and Nevis, and Guyana. The main tournament will start with West Indies facing off against Australia and Sri Lanka will face Scotland on January 14.

Talking about the history of the U-19 World Cup, hosts West Indies along with England, South Africa and Bangladesh have won the Under 19 World Cup once each, Pakistan has won it twice while Australia has won it thrice. India has been crowned U-19 champions four times.
