Women's World Cup: Smriti Mandhana Shares Player Of The Match Award With Harmanpreet Kaur; Watch Video

WIWvINDW: In the concluded Women's World Cup match between West Indies women and India women, Smriti Mandhana, apart from scoring a century in the match touched hearts with a warming gesture after the match. 

After India won the match by 155 runs, Smriti Mandhana was adjudged player of the match for her knock of 123 runs in 119 balls with 13 fours and 2 sixes. However, upon receiving the award, Mandhana said that her teammate Harmanpreet Kaur deserves the award equally, and believes ICC has enough budget to give both of them separate awards.

Notably, Harmanpreet Kaur also smacked a ton in this match. The 33-year old batter smashed 109 runs in 107 balls with 10 fours and 2 sixes. Both the centurions etched together a partnership if 184 runs in 174 balls as India managed to win their second match of the Women's World Cup 2022.

While talking about the match, after opting to bat first-team India posted a total of 317/8 in 50 overs courtesy of Mandhana and Harmanpreet's centuries. In reply, West Indies Women were bowled out for a total of 162 runs in 40.3 overs, losing the match by 155 runs. Sneh Rana picked up 3 wickets for India while Meghna Singh managed 2 wickets. Jhulan Goswami, Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Pooja Vastrakar picked up 1 wicket each.
