Five Players With Most T20I Caps But Have Never Played In IPL

Indian Premier League(IPL) is a tournament of opportunity where all players like to come to not only gain experience but earn big for a two-month contract. However, not everyone gets to play in the league. 

There are certain players who have plenty of T20 international experience but still haven't played a single IPL game so far in 14 seasons. 

Let's take a look at five players with the most T20I caps but have never been in IPL so far: 

5) Gulbadin Naib - Afghanistan's Gulbadin Naib is a bowling all-rounder with 53 T20I caps. He made his T20I debut in 2012 and since then has scored 559 runs in 42 innings and taken 20 wickets in 34 innings. He hasn't played in any season of IPL so far. Naib has set his base price as 50 Lakhs. 

4) Andre Fletcher - West Indies' wicketkeeper batter, popularly known as 'Spiceman', Andre Fletcher has represented his country 54 times and is a regular face in other T20 leagues. In 52 innings since his T20I debut in 2008, Fletcher has scored 950 runs. He hasn't played an IPL match so far. Fletcher will enter the IPL auction at a base price of 50 Lakhs. 

3) Dasun Shanaka - The current Sri Lanka T20 captain has played 57 games for his country. Since his debut in 2015, Dasun Shanaka has scored 707 runs in 53 innings while taking 17 wickets in 28 innings. The batting allrounder has never got an IPL contract so far. Shanaka has entered the Auction at a base price of 50 Lakhs. 

2) Najibullah Zadran - Afghanistan's hard-hitting batter has 68 T20I caps since his debut in 2012. Zadran has scored 1232 runs in 59 innings for Afghanistan but hasn't found any buyer for him in the IPL as of now. He has set his base price to 50 Lakhs in the IPL Auction.

1) Paul Stirling - One of Ireland's most experienced batters, Paul Stirling, has the most T20I caps without playing any IPL game - 94. Stirling made his T20I debut in 2009 and since then has scored 2606 runs for Ireland. He is a regular face in other T20 leagues but hasn't played in IPL. Stirling will begin the IPL Auction with a base price of 50 Lakhs.
