Kane Stuart Williamson, born on 8th August 1990, is considered among the best batters in the world currently. Williamson was made the captain of New Zealand in 2016 and has taken his team to new heights since then.

1) Kane Williamson has a twin brother Logan. While Kane is older than his brother, he has three elder sisters as well. 

2) Apart from cricket, Williamson loves surfing and excelled in rugby as a kid. He was also named the most valuable player in a mid-northern junior basketball tournament back in senior secondary school in 2005. 

3) He was playing representative cricket since 14 and made his first-class debut at the age of 17. Till the time he left school, Williamson had recorded 40 centuries. 

4) The 17-year-old Williamson led New Zealand to the semi-finals of the under-19 world cup in 2008 only to lose the game against Virat Kohli's India. 

5) Trent Boult lived in the neighborhood of Williamson and Doug Bracewell was also friends with his current skipper since childhood. Kane Williamson used to play a lot with late Australian cricketer Phil Hughes. 

6) He made his test debut at the age of 20 against India at Ahmedabad and scored 131. 

7) Williamson holds the record of being the youngest batsman to score centuries against all the Test-playing nations.

8) In 2014, there was a massacre in Pakistan when terrorists killed 134 children in a school in Peshawar. Williamson helped those who suffered and donated all of his match fees from the ODI series against Pakistan that year. 

9) Kane Williamson's in 2021 is roughly $9 million. His net worth has grown 35% in the last three years. 

10) In 2015, Williamson was involved in a 365-run stand with BJ Watling for the sixth wicket, which, at that time, was the highest. However, in the following year, Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow overtook them with a 399 run partnership.
