India vs Sri Lanka: In the 2-match test series between India and Sri Lanka in March 2022, the host team India emerged victorious by 2-0 as they completed a clean sweep over the neighbours Lankans.

Both the test matches didn't need a day 4 and India completely dominated the fragile Lankan team. 

Here are the top 3 bowlers with the most wickets in India vs Sri Lanka test series. 


#3. Ravindra Jadeja (10 wickets)

Ace Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja ranks third on this list with 10 wickets to his name in the 2022 test series against Sri Lanka. Jadeja was out of action since November 2021 and made his comeback in tests in this very series, and showed why he's the best all-rounder India has. Jadeja's bowling best figures was 5/41 in the first test at Mohali to restrict Sri Lanka to 174 in the second innings in reply to India's first innings score of 574/8. Apart from this, Jadeja picked up 4 more wickets in the third innings as well as scored 175* in the first innings of the same test. 


#2. Jasprit Bumrah (10 wickets)

Arguably the best or at least amongst the top three bowlers in the world at the moment, Indian vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah ranks next with 10 wickets as well. However, Bumrah's average of 9.00 is better than Jadeja's 15.00 and hence the right-arm pacer is ranked above. 'Boom boom' Bumrah's best figures in this series was 5/24 came in the second test at Bangalore where only Lankan spinners seemed effective in the first innings. However, Bumrah came on to bowl and completely flipped the dynamics as he picked up his first 5-wicket haul at home. 


#1. Ravichandran Ashwin (12 wickets)

The mastermind off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin tops the list with 12 wickets to his name in the concluded 2022 test series against Sri Lanka. Ash bowled a total of 69.2 overs in the series, including 16 maidens and gave away 181 runs while picking up 12 wickets. The 35-year old's average, economy & strike rate remained to be 15.08, 2.61 & 34.6 respectively. Ashwin's best bowling figure in the series came in the 3rd innings at Mohali, where the spinner took 4 wickets for just 47 runs to help India restrict Sri Lanka and win the match by an innings and 222 runs.
