Three Things Sachin Tendulkar Never Achieved During His Test Career
Sachin Tendulkar is widely regarded as one of the all-time great batters, not only in India but in the whole world. There is hardly any ground where Tendulkar hasn't played a memorable knock. In his 24-year-long illustrious test career, Sachin smashed 51 centuries - the most by any batter.
Even though there is so much to look at what Tendulkar accomplished during his test career, there are a few things Sachin never achieved; let's take a look:
1) 500 Runs In A Series:
Sachin Tendulkar played a total of 74 Test series during which he scored 15,921 runs. However, he was never able to score more than 500 runs in a Test series. The most runs Tendulkar scored in one series was 493 against Australia in Australia in the 2007-08 tour.
2) No Century At Lord's:
To score runs in England, especially at Lord's, is considered to be one of the great achievements for a batter. Sachin Tendulkar has dominated almost every ground in the world, but at the Lord's, even the master hasn't found success. Tendulkar has never even hit fifty in a test match played at the historic cricket ground of London, let alone a century. His highest score is just 37, which he scored in 2007.
3) No More Than 2 Centuries In A Test Series:
Sachin Tendulkar, as we all know, has the most test centuries to his name, yet, the "Master Blaster" has never scored more than two in a test series. To give this a context, more than 20 players have scored more than four centuries in a Test series, at least once.
