Team India will look to kick off their World Cup 2023 preparation with this ODI series, with the World Cup to be played later this year. In the absence of Rohit Sharma in the 1st ODI, Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan are expected to open the innings for team India. Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja will strengthen the middle order against a formidable Australian side.
The pace bowling attack will be led by the #1 ranked ODI bowler Mohammad Siraj. Chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav will shoulder the spin department along with Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar and Axar Patel.
The Australian team will be a bit relieved with the return of ace opener David Warner who missed the last two Tests due to elbow injury. Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith will consolidate the middle order, while Glenn Maxwell will be an exciting addition to the squad. Alex Carey, Marcus Stoinis and Cameron Green will form a strong lower-middle order.

Adam Zampa and Glenn Maxwell can be the spin options, along with Steve Smith, Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne with occasional overs.
