IND v WI Fantasy XI:
- Wicket-keeper - Rishabh Pant
- Batters - Shikhar Dhawan (C), Suryakumar Yadav (VC), Shamarh Brooks
- All-rounders - Washington Sundar, Jason Holder, Deepak Hooda
- Bowlers - Prasidh Krishna, Alzarri Joseph, Yuzvendra Chahal, Odean Smith
Indian batting looks more or less balanced at the moment, with Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav all having played good knocks in either the one or the second match. In an interesting move, Rishabh Pant opened the innings with Rohit Sharma in the 2nd ODI. However, Dhawan is set to return in the 3rd ODI and Pant will move back to the #4 spot.
Prasidh Krishna led the bowling attack in the 2nd ODI while defending 237 runs and picking up 4 wickets giving away just 9 runs. Mohammad Siraj and Prasidh Krishna were impressive with the new ball while spinners Washington Sundar and Yuzvendra Chahal choked West Indies in the middle overs in the first match as well. India will once again play the same bowling lineup in 2nd ODI.
West Indies' batting has been going through a rough patch for too long now. Kieron Pollard's exclusion in the 2nd ODI didn't help as well. West Indies will be hoping for a miracle in their batting order if they want to avoid a clean sweep in this series.
Windies bowlers all managed to pick up wickets in the last match, with the addition of Odean Smith acting as a blessing in disguise for the tourists. Kemar Roach went rather expensive in the first match and gave away 42 runs in 8 overs with 1 wicket in the 2nd ODI, and is expected to make way for captain Kieron Pollard if he is cleared for the 3rd ODI.
IND v WI Probable Playing XI:
-
India - Rohit Sharma (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant (wk), KL Rahul, Deepak Hooda/ Suryakumar Yadav, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal, Prasidh Krishna
-
West Indies - Brandon King, Shai Hope (wk), Darren Bravo, Shamarh Brooks, Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard (c), Jason Holder, Fabian Allen, Alzarri Joseph, Akeal Hosein, Odean Smith
