Play of Day 2 has been called off due to persistent rain showers. Not a bowl was bowled on day 2 of the match and Indian batters KL Rahul & Ajinkya Rahane will come out tomorrow to take Indian innings further from 272/3.


The rain has made its entrance again after it got light and stopped for a while. The first session of the day's play has been called off and a quick inspection is to take place at 3 PM IST. If all goes well, the play will start at 3.40 PM IST.


The start of Day 2 has been delayed due to rain. Currently, the rain has gotten light and the ground staff is working. 


Day 1 saw Virat Kohli winning the toss and opting to bat first. KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal put on a century-run opening stand. Then Kohli and Rahul added 82 runs for the third wicket. Rahul scored his seventh test hundred. Ajinkya Rahane is currently partnering with him, the duo has added 73 runs for the fourth wicket.
