SA v IND, Preview:

South Africa's Quinton de Kock shockingly announced his retirement with immediate effect after the first test. Kyle Verreynne or Ryan Rickelton may replace him in the second test. This means the batting will heavily rely on Dean Elgar, Aiden Markram & Temba Bavuma.

The bowling department will be led by Kagiso Rabada who bowled beautifully in the first test, along with Lungi Ngidi, who picked up 6 wickets in India's first innings. Marco Jensen also performed well enough in the first match as he registered a total of 5 wickets to his name. It is highly improbable that Duanne Olivier will get a place in the XI instead of Jensen.

India's batting was led by KL Rahul, who was adjudged the 'player of the match' as his century in the first innings set up the victory for India. His opening partner, Mayank Agarwal also looked comfortable as he scored 60 runs in the first innings, etching an opening partnership of 117 runs with his Karnataka teammate. Ajinkya Rahane also looked in good touch.

The Johannesburg pitch provides assistance to pace bowlers due to extra bounce and India again are expected to play with the same bowling combination. Every bowler - R Ashwin, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami & Mohammad Siraj, played their part in the last match and managed to pick up 20 wickets which eventually sealed the match.
