New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson has been ruled out of the ICC T20 World Cup with a calf tear. Ferguson will be replaced by Adam Milne subject to approval by the ICC Technical Committee.
PAK v NZ Fantasy XI:
- Wicket-keepers - Devon Conway, Mohammad Rizwan
- Batters - Martin Guptill, Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Glenn Philips
- All-rounders - Mohammad Hafeez
- Bowlers - Tim Southee, Ish Sodhi, Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi
PAK v NZ Preview
Pakistan had a terrific start to the tournament when they chased down 152 with ten wickets in hand. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan played fluent innings and looked in 100% control throughout the chase. Fakhar Zaman will be the player to watch out for.
Shaheen Afridi was unplayable in the last match, especially with the new ball. Haris Rauf bowled brilliantly in the death overs and is a potential wicket-taker.
New Zealand didn't win any of their warmup games. The batting hasn't looked convincing. Martin Guptill will be crucial at the top order. Glenn Philips could prove to be the game-changer.
At Sharjah, Ish Sodhi will be a threat to the opposition. He is likely to be supported by Mitchell Santner.
PAK v NZ Probable Playing XI:
- Pakistan - Babar Azam (c), Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Asif Ali, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali, Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi
- New Zealand - Martin Guptill, Tim Seifert, Kane Williamson, Devon Conway, Glenn Philips, Mark Chapman, Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee, Kyle Jamieson, Ish Sodhi, Adam Milne
