BCCI announces cash awards for U-19 World Cup winners

New Delhi, Feb 3 (CRICKETNMORE) - Congratulating the Indian Under 19 team for lifting the World Cup for the fourth time, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday announced cash awards of Rs 30 lakh each

"They have been fantastic athletes and even better ambassadors. The boys have done so well, and I am sure they will work hard and climb the ladder and represent the senior team in the future," he added.

CoA member and former India women's team captain Diana Edulji said: "The consistent performance is a testimony to the fact of BCCI's initiative in nurturing the talent and providing an environment to the youngsters to perform to their potential."
