Bowlers seal semi-final spot for India by securing a comfortable win over the host Bangladesh. Spinners lead the bowling department for India with Amit Mishra and R Ashwin picking 3 and 2 wickets respectively. However, it was Ashwin who got major breakthroughs for the teamwhich also earned him man of the match award.

India becomes the first team to get into Semi Finals. This is the first time they are making to the Semis, since 2007. Australia and Bangladesh are eliminated from the tournament. India now are ranked 1 in ICC T20 Rankings
