Quotes

Michael Hussey : This is one of my favourite ground in the world, atmosphers is electric and pitch. It was a good pitch and we needed a fast start as they have a good batting line and needed to put a good total to defend. Hope Punjab wins it tonight. He(L Simmons) strikes the ball really well and takes the pressure off me.

Rohit Sharma : We played brilliant cricket tonight. We should have got to 200 after the kind of start we got but lost too many wickets towards the end, our bowlers executed plans well to defend the total. Under lights ball comes on to the bat nicely but we had the belief of defending any score we put on. That 5 games in Dubai is still hurting us single win there would have helped us to qualify. In the Hotel we will keeping our eyes on the next game, whole of our squad will supporting Punjab in the next game. We need some results to go our way and lets keep our fingers crossed for it.

Kevin Pietersen: There was a bit of fight shown in bowling as well as batting. It is the frustration of getting close again and then missing. It is one thing with T20 Cricket, if you win you continue winning and if you lose the habit continues. We have one more game and let us see how it goes. Credit to Gary and the support staff. We have been doing really well but it is not clicking on the field. We have to find our combination right for the next season.
