Ambati Rayudu Deletes His Tweet After Announcing Retirement From IPL, Chennai Super Kings' CEO Reacts
Ambati Rayudu announced he will retire from IPL after the ongoing season, deleted his tweet later.
Chennai Super Kings' batter Ambati Rayudu announced via a tweet on Twitter on Saturday (14th May) that he'll retire from IPL after the ongoing season. However, Rayudu deleted this tweet shortly afterwards.
Ambati Rayudu wrote in his tweet, 'I am happy to announce that this will be my last ipl. I have had a wonderful time playing it and being a part of 2 great teams for 13 years. Would love to sincerely thank Mumbai Indians and Csk for the wonderful journey.'
Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan later clarified that Ambati Rayudu isn't taking retirement.

Viswanathan said, "Rayudu isn't taking retirement. Maybe he's not satisfied with his performance and hence his tweet. This is a psychological issue. I think he'll stay with us.'
In the IPL 2022 mega auction held in February, Chennai Super Kings acquired Ambati Rayudu for 6.75 crores INR. The batter has failed to perform with the bat this season. The batter has played 12 matches and averages 27.10 with 271 runs to his name, including a fifty.
Chennai Super Kings has already been eliminated from the playoffs race in IPL 2022. However, the team has to play two more league stage matches.

It is noteworthy that Ambati Rayudu has once taken back his retirement earlier also. After failing to get a spot in India's squad for World Cup 2019, Rayudu announced his retirement and took back his decision shortly afterwards.
