Chasing a below-par target of 152, RCB got off to a slow but steady start as Faf du Plessis and Anuj only scored 30 runs inside the powerplay. The duo added 50 runs for the opening wicket in 8.1 overs before Jaydev Unadkat provided a breakthrough.

Virat Kohli joined the crease and 80 runs with Anuj in 52 balls for the second wicket. Anuj was the aggressor among the two. Rawat reached his first IPL fifty in the 14th over. In the 17th over, an unfortunate runout got Anuj out after scoring 66 in 47 balls with the help of two fours and six sixes.

Dewald Brevis was asked to bowl the 19th over and he got Virat Kohli out on his first ball of the IPL. Kohli was adjudged LBW and inconclusive evidence didn't help the batter's case. However, Glenn Maxwell finished the game in the next balls.

Earlier, Suryakumar Yadav's timely fifty helped Mumbai reach 151/6 in the first inning. MI, after being asked to bat first, scored 49 runs inside the powerplay and didn't lose any wicket. However, Mumbai collapsed from 50/0 to 79/6.

It was Suryakumar's 68 in 37 balls that got MI to a respectable total of 151 but still a below-par score. He added 72 runs in 41 balls with Jaydev Unadkat for the seventh wicket.
