Australia Tour Of India: Team Squads For Three Match T20I Series

Here are the squads for both India and Australia for the upcoming 3-match T20I series.

India is set to host World T20 champions Australia for a 3-match T20I series, starting from September 20th. The first match will be played at Mohali, followed by the 2nd T20I in Nagpur on September 23rd and the final T20I on September 25th in Hyderabad. 

This T20I series will help both the teams further perfect their team combinations and players, with the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 in sight. India, who were eliminated in the group stage in the T20 World Cup 2021, while Australia went on to win their maiden T20 Title in 2021 after defeating New Zealand in the finals. 

With the T20 squads announced for the T20 World Cup 2022, both teams would look to cement their combinations and players to win the World Cup this time around. 

Here are the squad for both India and Australia for the upcoming 3-match T20I series.

India - Rohit Sharma (c), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Hardik Pandya, Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant (wk), Dinesh Karthik (wk), Yuzvendra Chahal, Bhuvnehswar Kumar, Mohammad Shami, Harshal Patel, Deepak Chahar & Jasprit Bumrah. 

This team includes all the players named in the squad for the T20 World Cup 2022 except Arshdeep Singh, who has been rested. Standby players for T20 World Cup 2022, Mohammad Shami and Deepak Chahar have also been included in the squad for the series against Australia. 

Australia - Aaron Finch (c), Steven Smith, Tim David, Glenn Maxwell, Ashton Agar, Cameron Green, Daniel Sams, Sean Abbott, Josh Inglis (wk), Matthew Wade (wk), Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Kane Richardson, Adam Zampa, Nathan Ellis

Mitchell Starc, Marcus Stoinis & Mitchell Marsh are set to miss this series due to injuries.
