Australia VS India Match Preview:

Australia, especially the batsmen, will be confident coming into the T20 mode after a successful and dominating display in the ODI series. Aaron Finch was in terrific form throughout the three games. Steve Smith already looked like he is practicing for the T20s, as he scored two back to back centuries, both in 62 balls. Glenn Maxwell played three powerful knocks in the series and is looking set to come hard and smash the bowlers again.

Trending

Mitchell Starc, who was rested in the last game due to a niggle, might come back into the playing XI. Adam Zampa had a decent outing with the ball and would hope to continue with the same momentum in the T20 as well. Josh Hazlewood looked unplayable at times and could be a wicket-taking option during the powerplay.

Indian batting, especially the middle order, looked strong during the ODI series. KL Rahul will be back as an opener for the T20, however, the management will have to choose between Mayank Agarwal and Shikhar Dhawan as an opener; both had a great IPL 2020. Sanju Samson might get a look in ahead of Shreyas Iyer and Manish Pandey. Hardik Pandya will be the key batsman for India.

Washington Sundar had a good IPL and might get into the playing XI due to his all-round abilities. Deepak Chahar has been terrific for India during the powerplay overs, especially in T20s. T Natarajan looks set to make his T20I debut after a good performance in the third ODI. Yuzvendra Chahal will also be back on the team after being rested in the last game.

Both teams have strong batting lineups suggesting a run-fest during the three T20s. Canberra's pitch was good for batting but also offered something for the bowlers as well. The match could be a high scoring thriller.
