Melbourne, Oct 20. Australia will be without their most powerful batter when they defend their Women's World Twenty20 crown next year with Jess Cameron taking an indefinite break from the game, Cricket Australia (CA) said on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old will play out the remainder of the 50-over Women's National Cricket League but will not play for the Perth Scorchers in the inaugural Women's Big Bash League. She will also be unavailable for Australia's upcoming campaigns against India and New Zealand and for next year's World T20 in India.

Cameron helped Australia win back the women's Ashes in England earlier this year. She made her international debut in 2009 as a 19-year-old and in 2013 claimed the Belinda Clark Award for best international player. She also has celebrated a World Cup and three World T20 victories.
