In the rain-affected 1st T20I, Bangladesh registered a comfortable win regardless of Ireland trying to fight back. Batting first, Bangladesh openers gave an excellent start as the home team scored 91 runs in the first 7 overs. Litton Das scored 47 runs off 23 balls while Rony Talukdar smacked 67 runs off 38 deliveries. Shakib al Hasan provided good finishing with 20* runs off 13 balls as Bangladesh managed 207/5 in 19.2 overs before rain interrupted.
