Delhi Capitals will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in match 41 of the IPL 2022 today at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Ahead of the crucial match against KKR, the DC camp has received a big boost as two key players - Mitchell Marsh and Tim Seifert - have returned to training.

Last week, the Delhi camp was hit by Covid as six members of the squad tested positive and had to undergo isolation, including Marsh and Seifert. Marsh had to be hospitalized after testing positive for Covid while Seifert remained in isolation.

Even Ricky Ponting's family member tested positive for the virus and the head coach too remained in isolation as a precautionary measure despite testing negative.

The covid chaos led to DC's scheduled match against Rajasthan Royals in Pune having to be shifted from Pune to Mumbai.

However, all is now well in the DC camp as Ponting, Marsh, and Seifert are back outside and began training with the rest of the squad members on Wednesday. Although there's no clarity if either Marsh or Seifert will get to play the match.

"I feel pretty relieved to be back outside again, actually after another five days locked in, and obviously missing the game,” Ponting said in a release from Delhi Capitals.

Mitchell Marsh has played only one match so far this season, in which he made a struggling 14 off 24 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Tim Seifert has played two matches in which he made 24 runs while opening the inning.
