IND vs SL: Binura Fernando takes a single-hand stunner at deep slip to dismiss dangerous Sanju Samson in India vs Sri Lanka 2nd T20I; watch video
India vs Sri Lanka: Sanju Samson - a talent that hasn't been able to take his place in the Indian team regularly despite being consistent in his performances in the domestic. And now, when he finally got a chance to prove his batting skills and take his team to victory, Sri Lankan pacer Binura Fernando 'single-handedly' spoilt Sanju's aims.
In the ongoing 2nd T20I match between India and Sri Lanka, the hosts were in a spot of bother after losing both inf-form openers inside the first six overs. Sanju Samson came onto bat at #4 as he was getting some game time while he's still in the squad due to key players being rested or injured. Samson started slow and cautiously, scoring 17 runs in 19 balls.

However, the 27-year old targeted Lahiru Kumara in the 13th over where he smacked the first delivery for a four, followed it up with 2 consecutive sixes on the next two balls and smashed another six on the 5th delivery.
On the last delivery of the over, Samson went for a drive on a tempting full delivery wide outside the off-stump and managed a thick top-edge on the ball. Dinura Fernando, fielding at deep slip timed his jump to perfection as he caught the fast travelling ball single-handedly with his left hand, out of thin air! The seamer fell to the ground while landing but held on to the ball tightly. Even Dinura Fernando didn't seem to believe what a stunner he had caught.

Iyer was ably assisted by Sanju Samson 39(25) and Ravindra Jadeja 45*(18) as India sealed the 3-match T20I series.
