Broad, Prior to undergo surgery
English cricket duo Stuart Broad and wicketkeeper Matt Prior will undergo surgery to cure their long-term injury troubles
London, Aug 10 (IANS) English cricket duo Stuart Broad and wicketkeeper Matt Prior will undergo surgery to cure their long-term injury troubles at the end of the month.
According to Daily Mail, Prior, who opted out for the rest of the summer to recuperate from an Achilles tendon injury, saw a specialist who was taken back by the severity of the swelling on the heel.

The 32-year-old will have the surgery soon and miss the rest of the season.
Broad's injury problems, though, have doubled.
The 28-year-old fast bowler was already facing surgery for a knee condition called 'patella tendinitis'. On Saturday he suffered a broken nose when he top-edged a Varun Aaron bouncer in the fourth Test against India in Manchester.
Broad was taken to a hospital for scans shortly afterwards with his padding strapped around his nose.
After being assessed by a specialist in facial reconstructive techniques, Broad was told told he would not require facial surgery.
Broad, however, was unable to pick up his man of the match award for his first innings figures of six for 25.
Without the services of the fast bowler, England went on to defeat India by an innings and 54 runs inside three days to take a 2-1 series lead.
