c Buttler b Ashwin: Buttler's Sensational Catch To Help Ashwin Get A Wicket

Jos Buttler and R Ashwin are a duo that has been very popular ever since the IPL 2019. Then playing for Punjab Kings, Ashwin got Buttler mankaded and the duo was seen having a go at each other after that. Buttler even jokingly conceded that his first impression of Ashwin wasn't something he would share with him (in a later one-on-one chat). 

Cut to IPL 2022, Rajasthan Royals got Buttler and Ashwin to play for them. Now, almost 75% of the season has been completed the duo are now sharing a great bond and supporting each other. Often times we have seen R Ashwin batting at number three with Jos Buttler in IPL 2022. 

In the match against Punjab Kings, Ashwin was introduced in the sixth over and Shikhar Dhawan decided to take him on on the first ball of his spell. Dhawan charged down the track and tried to loft the ball over the mid-on, where Buttler was placed. 

The ball went into the air and it looked like it will go over Buttler's head but the Englishman turned on his wicket-keeper instincts and jumped at the perfect moment to pluck the ball out of nowhere and that too with one hand. To make things more dramatic and keep himself in balance, Buttler rolled over the ground as his teammates run to congratulate him and Ashwin. 

The Ashwin-Buttler combo has been brilliant for the Rajasthan Royals so far this season. The Royals will be hoping for the duo to keep chipping in with impactful performances to help them win the trophy for the second time.
