India is yet to play 6 more tests in this cycle, and if they manage to win all these matches, their PCT will reach 68.05. While South Africa is yet to play 7 tests, out of which 2 tests are against England in the ongoing series. If South Africa manage to win all their remaining tests, their PCT will  read 86.66 and if they manage to win 5 matches their PCT will read 73.33, which will keep them ahead of team India.

The second-placed Australian team has 9 tests remaining. If Australia registers a win in all of these matches their PCT will reach 84.21. Even if they manage to win 6 matches their PCT will be 68.42 which will keep them ahead of team India.

Sri Lanka has four more tests left to play and if Sri Lanka wins all 4 matches their PCT will be 66.66 which will still be less than India's maximum possible PCT of 68.05.

Team India will play a four-test match series against Australia at the end of the year. While Australia and South Africa will play a three-match test series against each other, which will be very crucial for team India.
