His knock at Colombo helped India to a resounding 278-run win in the second match of a three-Test series against Sri Lanka to square the series 1-1.

"Pretty pleasing as a youngster to get two hundreds in four matches but still a lot to learn. I go more confident into the next Test. A very happy feeling firstly to get called up to play for the national team, and then to score two hundreds in four games," Rahul said at the post-match presentation ceremony, after India beat Sri Lanka, here on Monday.

The talented right-hand batsman also had to don the role of a wicket-keeper as regular glovesman Wriddhiman Saha had to be sidelined due to an injury. Rahul took a brilliant catch on Monday to get rid of Sri Lanka skipper Angelo Mathews.

"I was a wicketkeeper till under-19. Then on I didn't get chance to keep. I enjoy it. Pretty happy I took a good catch," said the 23-year-old.
