Sharjah Warriors had a bad start to the tournament as they faced a defeat at the hands of MI Emirates by 49 runs.

In this match, Sharjah bowlers were put into contention as Emirates registered a total of 200 plus. Chris Woakes and Junaid Siddique scalped two-two wickets each and Mohammad Nabi got 1 wicket to his name. Other bowlers did not bowl well.

While only Rahmanullah Gurbaz (43 runs in 31 balls) and Chris Woakes (62 runs in 29 balls) were able to bat well but their team faced a loss. Six of the Sharjah batters were not able to get runs in double digits.
