Virat Kohli at the other end was looking in sublime touch. He drove well, defended well, and had some luck as well throughout his innings of 44 before Moeen Ali's got the better of the Indian captain eventually. Ali drew Kohli forwarded but a straight delivery found the edge of to the only slip.
Rishabh Pant has so far controlled his natural game and has scored 16 from 41. He is partnering with Shardul Thakur who once again looking in the same touch with the bat as he was in the first innings. The two have so far added 17 from 42 balls.
