The Madras High Court on Thursday directed India Cements Ltd, the Board of Control
CSK had petitioned the court to stay the two-year suspension imposed on it from playing in the IPL by the Supreme Court-appointed Justice R.M. Lodha committee.

The court said it would hear the matter next on September 23.
The Lodha Committee recommended a two-year suspension of two teams - CSK and Rajasthan Royals - since their team officials were found to be indulging in betting.
The committee also banned for life Gurunath Meyappan, a former team official of CSK.
According to CSK, neither its management nor any player indulged in betting or match fixing and Meiyappan was not a shareholder of India Cements. CSK also claimed that Meiyappan was not on the management of the company.
The Lodha committee's order was against the fundamental principles of natural justice, CSK maintained.
